Welcome to the NGA website. I am Sarah Wallace, principal of Lincoln County Ninth Grade Academy. I have been in the education field for thirty five years as a teacher and administrator. I started my teaching career in Brentwood, Tennessee in 1971. I taught for two years and moved to Lincoln County to get married. I had never been to Lincoln County and now it is the greatest hometown in the entire world to me. I taught for many years before I decided to become an administrator. I was assistant principal at Central Jr. High for 4 years before becoming principal of Flintville Elementary School. I learned so much as principal at Flintville. I had worked with older students for my entire career prior to Flintville. The first thing I learned as principal of an elementary school was to appreciate and respect those Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers. I was born in a farming family in Franklin, Tennesse and I was right at home in the rural community of Flintville. I have a twin sister who is the secretary of an elementary and middle school so she helpedme with the elementary concept. I became principal of NGA eight years ago and have loved every minute of the career change. I really like working with 14-16 year olds and plan to retire at NGA.
